Fire does extensive damage to home and garagee on County Road F

The Bryan Fire Department was paged to a home on County Road F at 12:15 p.m. Saturday in response to a car fire inside a garage. According to Bryan Fire Chief Bruce Siders, fire crews had a working structure fire that had fully involved the garage. High winds on Saturday drove the fire into the house. Because of the cold, additional personnel was brought in from Stryker and Kunkle. Edgerton assisted in standing by at the Bryan fire station. No injuries were reported. According to Siders, the resident of the house didn’t have renter’s insurance and was being assisted by the Red Cross. Siders added damages estimates had yet to be determined. Damage occurred to the entire garage and the car in the garage. According to Siders, a quarter of the house was lost. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
