Fixing The Streets

The Bryan City Council approves two change orders dealing with pavement marking and the asphalt program during its meeting at the Don North Municipal Building. The change order for the asphalt program actually reduced the costs by $23 thousand dollars. Meanwhile, an increase of $848.73 was needed to complete the 2022 Pavement Marking Program. A transfer of funds was endorsed by council members, totaling $3.7 million dollars. All funds for the annual appropriations of the city of Bryan were accepted for the end of the fiscal year ending on Dec. 31. Because of the cancellation of the refuse service locally midyear, $550,000 was deducted from the Refuse Fund, while an addition of $190,000 was made to the Street Fund from the annual Appropriations for the 2022 fiscal year.
