Frances M. Hook, 96 years, of Bryan passed away Wednesday July 29, 2015 at Genesis Healthcare- Bryan Center. Frances was born March 2, 1919, in Alliance, Ohio to the late Jesse and Murel (Low) Hook. She was a 1937 graduate of Bryan High School. She also attended International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Frances was a secretary and office worker for Bard Manufacturing for 44 years retiring in 1985. She also was an office worker for Ellis Insurance for 7 years. Frances was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the church where she participated in Life Group, Friendship Circle, United Methodist Women, and the choir for 70 years. She was also the superintendent of the children’s department at the church. Frances enjoyed reading books and listening to music. She loved spending time with people and eating at Lester’s Diner.
Surviving are her cousins, Lee J. Wallace of Hicksville, Gloria Miller of Archbold, Carol (Michael) Early of Hicksville, Linda Carlin of Bryan and Mary Jo Rounds of Hicksville; and dear friend and caretaker, Jan Batt of Bryan.
Visitation for Frances M. Hook will be held Saturday August 1, 2015 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Wesley United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 1, 2015 at 11:00 am in the church with Reverend Becky Schofield Motter officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery.
