Frances Kreischer, 84

Frances Loucelle Kreischer, 84, of Montpelier passed away Monday afternoon at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Montpelier.  She was born on August 24, 1930 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Cleo M. and Florence L. (Hand) Smith.  Frances graduated from Edon High School in 1948.  On March 26, 1949 she married John J. Kreischer, Sr. and he survives.

Frances was a member of the Montpelier Moose Auxiliary and the Montpelier Eagles.  She retired from Robinair after 35 years as an assembler.  Frances hobbies included bowling, playing cards, dominoes, bingo and golfing.

She is survived by her husband John; five children, Carrol J. (Patricia) Kreischer of Montpelier, Gary L. (Tammy) Kreischer of Auburn, Indiana, Darlene (Chuck) Haynes of Alvordton, Patti (Mickey) Oyer of Montpelier, and John J. Kreischer, Jr. of Montpelier; two sisters, Joan (Bob) Becker of Pioneer and Ilene (Leon) Snyder of Angola, Indiana; eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Linda Kreischer, three great grandchildren, McKenna Kreischer, Tyler Lee Lewis and Kasey Kreischer, sister and brother-in-law Margie and Irv Gulick, and brother and sister-in-law Robert and Della Smith.

Visitation for Frances will be on Wednesday, August 19th from 3-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  Funeral Services will be on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Blank to officiate.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s.
