Franklin “Frank” L. Jennings, age 72, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at his home. Mr. Jennings worked at Spangler Candy Company for 47 years, retiring in 2013. He also worked many years part-time at the Sohio gas station in Bryan.
Franklin L. Jennings was born on August 13, 1942, in Duffield, Virginia, the son of Oscar and Nadine (Boggs) Jennings. Frank graduated from Rye Cove High School in 1963. He married Jean M. English on December 23, 1967.
Frank is survived by his loving spouse of 47 years, Jean; sons, Tate Jennings, of Bryan, and Brandon (Dalene) Jennings, of Edgerton, Ohio; grandchildren, Travis and Chevelle Jennings, both of Edgerton; two brothers, Carroll (Janet) Jennings, of Bristol, Tennessee, and Wayne Jennings, of Warsaw, Indiana; four sisters, Barbara (Paul) Hitt, of Bryan, Jane (C.H.) Presley, Hazel Hass and Judith (Gary) Shupe, all of Duffield, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Shirley Thomas Jennings, and sisters, Margaret, Lynda and Thelma.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2015, from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Lyle Traxler officiating. Private family interment will take place in Ney Cemetery.
