Fred A. Kuhn, 64 years, of Pleasant Lake, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Center for Hospice in Elkhart, Indiana. Fred was born January 27, 1950 in Gary, Indiana, the son of the late Charles Raymond and Wilma Viola (Waters) Kuhn. He was a 1968 graduate of Hamilton High School. He married Karen Sue Pearson on April 4, 1971 in Hamilton, and she survives. Fred was an Industrial Electrician working at General Electric in Fort Wayne, Crane-Edmund Company in Butler, Indiana, Dana Weatherhead for 17 years and worked as a Machinist at Angola Wire Products for 15 years, retiring in July of 2009.
In addition to his wife Karen, Fred is survived by three sons, James D. Kuhn, of Pleasant Lake, Jeremy L. (Lacey) Kuhn of Hamilton and Jason T. Kuhn and his fiancé Faith Wainwright of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Chevy and Kristie Kuhn; his twin brother, Ted Kuhn of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; one sister, Sandy (Gary) Eickholt of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles R. and Gene Kuhn.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 in Eddy Cemetery, Hamilton with Pastor Jon List of Pleasant Lake Mennonite Church, officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 East Church Street, Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
