Frederick D. “Fritz” Fouty, age 84, of rural Delta, passed away Thursday evening, May 17, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. Prior to his retirement he had been a truck driver.
Fritz was born in Delta on August 8, 1933, the son of Alfred and Mae (Pontious) Fouty. On May 3, 1969, he married Georgia Wood, and she survives. Fritz was a private pilot and flew many different types of aircraft over the years. He also enjoyed motorcycles and was a great mechanic.
Surviving is his wife, Georgia; two sons, Michael (Lisa) Fouty of Wauseon, Bryan Fouty of Delta; one daughter, Lory Nagel of Wauseon; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Juanita Jones; and brother, Deryl Fouty.
