The sixth annual Alzheimer’s Symposium is this Saturday, a free source of information for people who have a loved one with Alzheimers.
The free symposium is tomorrow beginning at 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Defiance Eagles, at 711 W. Second St. The main speaker will be Lynn Ritter, Ph.D., from the Northwest Ohio Alzheimer’s Association, who will explain ways to talk to a person who has Alzheimer’s.
“Lynn will speak about ways to talk to people with Alzheimer’s so they can understand better what you are saying to them,” Ludwig said. “You will also learn what to say to your out-of-town siblings so they can understand what is going on with their loved one.” Questions will be taken and answered during the event.
Also speaking will be Kieu Okuley of Okuley’s Pharmacy & Home Medical. She will discuss the latest information on new Alzheimer’s drugs and drug interactions.
Admission is free and there will be free refreshments.
