Free lawnmowing program solves two issues in Toledo.

A free lawnmowing program aims to solve two issues in Toledo at once by combating blight through routine lawnmowing for homeowners who may struggle to do it themselves and reducing youth violence through paid work and career development for young adults selected by the city. According to Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio, the “Mowbility Aid” initiative brings together multiple organizations for the effort: Goodwill, the city’s Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement and Mr. Snow Removal and Landscaping. The Greater Toledo Community Foundation will provide funding, too.
