With the help of several community sponsors, kids will again be able to pick up a free lunch this summer at Sherwood Branch Library, 117 N. Harrison St., Sherwood.
Brown-bag lunches will be available at the library Monday through Thursday from 12:15-12:45 p.m., while supplies last, beginning June 2 and ending July 24. Youth ages 0-18, or adults 18-21 with a disability, are eligible to receive lunch. Lunch will not be served on Fridays, as the library is closed, or on July 4 due to the holiday.
Free library programs for kids will immediately follow, at 1 p.m., on most days.
Sponsors of the 2025 Summer Lunches for Kids program include Mark Center Methodist Church, Hearts and Hands, Sherwood Methodist Church, St. John Lutheran Sherwood, Open Bible Church,
and Son Rise Church.
