Gary W. Bruce, age 61, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 6:19 P.M. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he was a patient. Mr. Bruce was truck driver and had driven for Allied Special Products Division, Maxcy Trucking, Rido Trucking and Evans Trucking with whom he was employed at the time of a disabling accident. He enjoyed being on the open road and also model railroading.
Gary M. Bruce was born on July 6, 1955, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Owen Wilson and Mabel Elizabeth (Step) Bruce.
He had settled in Edgerton in 1986, with his longtime companion, Martha Coburn, who preceded him in death. Survivors include her son, Dan (Lisa) Coburn, of Edgerton; her grandchildren, Jamie (Reese) Coburn, Kyle (Derik) Coburn, and Kayla Coburn; and her four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, at 4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, with Pastor Jeff Brookins officiating. The family will receive visitors for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton.
