Gayette Sharp, 47

Gayette Marie Sharp, 47 years, of Sherwood, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance.  Gayette was born March 20, 1967 in Bryan, Ohio the daughter of James and Mary Ann (Dalton) Cliffton.  She was a 1986 graduate of Fairview High School.  Gayette was employed by several area firms, including Sauder Manufacturing in Archbold, Service Master in Defiance, Trident in Hicksville and also for a Printing Company in Defiance.

Surviving are her two sons, Jedidiah L. Sharp of Sherwood and Zachary J. Sharp, also of Sherwood; three grandchildren, Sydney Sharp, Clayton Sharp and Daniel Sharp; her mother, Mary Ann Bowman of Paulding; father, James Cliffton Sr. of Bryan; two brothers, Wesley Bowman of Paulding and Terry Cliffton of Florida; one sister, Susan Dooley of Port Clinton, Ohio.  She was preceded in death by her brother, James “Jamie” Cliffton, Jr; grandparents, James Dalton Sr., Anna Rath Dalton and Ilo Marie Geiger and John Cliffton.

Funeral services for Gayette Marie Sharp will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood, Ohio with Pastor George W. Alley officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville. The family will receive relatives and friends two hours prior to the service on Thursday, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
