George Andrews, 73

George Gary Andrews, age 73, of Wauseon passed away early Tuesday December 16, 2014 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. Prior to his retirement he had been a truck driver for the former Deilman Concrete in Wauseon.

Mr. Andrews was born on August 2, 1941 in Wauseon the son of the late George and the late Doris (Davidson) Andrews. In 1962 he married Cindy Westfall and she preceded him in death in 1968. On January 23, 1971 he married the former Ila Mae Valentine and she preceded him in death in 2003. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Wauseon. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.

Surviving are three daughters; Melissa (Mark) LaFountain and Kari (Robert) Rowe both of Wauseon, Christi (Jim) Prekop of Montpelier, son; George Dana (Paz) Andrews of Montpelier, 9 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters; Beverly (Ken) Upell of Liberty Center, Barb Denny of Paulding and Linda (Dave) Armstrong of Wauseon and special sister-in-law Deb (Valentine) Roach. Preceding him in death besides his wives Cindy and Ila Mae was sister Bonnie Seiler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday December 20, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Wauseon with Pastor Mitch Maxted officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the First Christian Church on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Fulton County Fair Grounds.
