George “Mike” Kenner, 78

George “Mike” Kenner, 78, of Edgerton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at his house surrounded by his family. Mike was born February 19, 1945, in Hicksville, Ohio, son of George J. and Ruth M. (Crone) Kenner. He was a 1963 graduate of Hicksville High School. Mike married Bonnie S. Roose on August 20, 1977, in Hicksville, Ohio and she survives. Mike was a hard-working life-long farmer. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, where he served as a custodian for 10 years. When Mike was not farming, he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. Above all, he loved his family and cherished spending time with them and making memories.

Surviving is his loving wife of 46 years, Bonnie Kenner of Edgerton, Ohio; three children, Matt (Tiffany) Kenner of Hicksville, Ohio, Becky (Tony Herman) Kenner of Edgerton, Ohio, and Veronica (Jerry) Miller of Hicksville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Hunter Kenner, Alexandria Kenner, Makayla Keppeler, Gretchen Keppeler, Mason Miller, Aubree Miller, and McKenzie Miller; brother, Richard Kenner of Hicksville, Ohio. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Bartick; brother, David J. Kenner.

Visitation for Mike will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Michael Catholic Church, 100 Antwerp Drive, Hicksville, beginning at 12:00 noon with Father Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
