Glen H. Wilson, 89 years, of Bryan, passed away Sunday morning, January 28, 2018 at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan after a brief illness. Glen was born on March 13, 1928 in Ayersville, Ohio the son of the late Russell and Florence (Huffman) Wilson. He was a 1946 graduate of Ayersville High School. A US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Glen attained the rank of Corporal. He married Anna Johnson on July 12, 1975 at First Lutheran Church, Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. Glen was a self-employed truck driver, driving for over 25 years, retiring in 1993. He previously drove for Pahl’s Ready Mix. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Bryan. He also served as a volunteer for the Williams County Veterans Service Office, helping transport local veterans to their medical appointments. Glen loved to tinker on cars and attend car shows. He enjoyed watching a good western movie and reading the newspaper each day. He was always looking to help those he could. He truly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Anna of Bryan; four children, Jason Wilson of Pioneer, Robert (Martina) McIlvain of Bryan, Theresa (Jeff) Kimbel of Bryan, and Keith (Paula Stark) McIlvain of Defiance; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael McIlvain; two brothers, Robert and Kenny Wilson; one sister, Joyce Wilson.
Visitation for Glen H. Wilson will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services for Glen H. Wilson will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in First Lutheran Church, 210 North Cherry Street, Bryan with Pastor Richard Franks officiating. Private interment will be made in Fountain Grove Cemetery on Thursday, February 1, 2018.
