Glenn L. “Buck” Dielman, age 86, of Holland, Ohio and Melbourne, Florida, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:17 PM.
Buck was born in Napoleon, Ohio on September 14, 1932, the son of Lawrence and Vadys (Turpening) Dielman. Prior to retirement, he was co-owner of Dielman, Inc. with his brother, Harold “Oky” and his father, Lawrence. They purchased the business in 1947 and built it over the years to include plants all over Northwest Ohio. They employed hundreds of faithful employees before selling the business in 2005.
Buck was also an avid collector of Mercedes-Benz cars and had accumulated 54 in his years of collecting. He also raised horses and enjoyed golfing.
In 1987 he married Aletta Gype, and she survives. Also surviving are daughter, Amy Dugan of Holland, OH; son, Bard Dielman of Arizona; four step-sons, Rod (Donna) Saunders of Liberty Center, OH, Ryan (Michele) Saunders of Holland, OH, Rick (Dexter) Saunders of San Diego, CA, Randy (Filipe) Saunders of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Harold “Oky” Dielman and Donald Dielman.
