Gloria J. Altaffer, age 66, of Montpelier, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Community Health and Wellness Centers-Bryan. Gloria worked at Allied Moulded in Bryan for 10 years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed family trips, especially the annual fishing trip to Minnesota, but was a Bingo fanatic.
Gloria was born on June 27, 1949 in Bryan to Charles W. and Beatrice E. (Hart) Helms. She was a graduate of Edgerton High School. Gloria married Joseph M. Altaffer on November 22, 1969 in Bryan and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Jason (Jennifer) Altaffer, of Edon and Jamie (Elli) Altaffer, of Montpelier; nine grandchildren, Halie, Morgan, Sara, Haylee, Keeley, Seth, Travis, Wyatt and Eryn; great granddaughter, Emerlee and siblings, Shirley Kunkle, of Montpelier, Mike (Vickie) Helms, of Montpelier and Linda (Larry) Goodwin, of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with interment in Shiffler Cemetery.
