On Monday afternoon, the folks who run Eagle Rock Golf Course had to deal with figuring out just how to get a golf cart out of a pond at Carpenter Road and East River Drive. Defiance Police say the cart was being operated at a high rate of speed by high school students who had been playing earlier at the course. That’s when the cart went out of control and slammed into a tree, before coming to rest in the pond. A tow truck driver was called to the scene at 6 last evening to try to pull it out.
