Grant funding awarded to help communities fight opioid crisis.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) Director LeeAnne Cornyn have announced the award of $100 million in federal grant funding that will be used in communities across the state to advance ongoing efforts to fight opioid use disorder and prevent overdose deaths. The awards include grants to three services – two are in Defiance County (Maumee Valley Guidance Center and Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio) and one is in Putnam County. According to a press release from the governor’s office, Maumee Valley Guidance Center will receive $348,750 while Recovery Services will get $239,682.30 and Pathways Counseling Center, Inc., in Putnam County will receive $617,906.10.
