Gregory D. Kline, 54

Gregory D. Kline, 54, of Sherwood, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance, with his family by his side. Greg was born August 5, 1967, the son of Homer D. and Linda S. (Sprow) Kline. He was a 1985 graduate of Fairview High School. Greg served in the United States Navy from November 4, 1985, until his honorable discharge on November 3, 1989. He married Sharon K. Woodbury on November 19, 1988, in Norfolk, Virginia. He previously worked at Trim Trend/ Global for 20 years. Greg also worked at Defiance Metal Products and for the last 4.5 years at Parker Hannifin, Hicksville. He was a former member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233. Greg was known as a quiet and kindhearted man. He especially enjoyed weekending at Marble Lake with his wife. Greg had a love for the outdoors, he could often be found tending to his flower and vegetable gardens, tending to the yard, or spending time on his boat.

Surviving is his wife, Sharon K. Kline of Sherwood; three daughters, Jamie L. Justice of Sherwood, Melanie R. Berry of Defiance, and Brandi J. (Brock) Clark of Bryan; six grandchildren, Marissa, David, Shyann, Jacob, Alexa, and Aiden; one great-grandbaby on the way; father, Homer (Lynne) Kline of Bryan; two sister, Jodi (Jody)Taylor of Pensacola, Florida, and Jamie (Rodney) Doubleday of Morristown, Tennessee; grandmother, Dorothy Sprow. Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Kidd; grandfather, Vernon Sprow.

The family will hold a gather of family and friends for Greg on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. at Sherwood VFW, 115 Cedar Street, Sherwood, Ohio 43556. If you are planning on attending the gathering, the family has requested you to bring a dish to share so everyone can enjoy a meal while remembering Greg.  Arrangements are in care Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory, Sherwood, Ohio.
