Gregory L. Ordway, age 42, of St. Joe, Indiana, died early on Saturday, October 27, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Hicksville, Ohio. Mr. Ordway was a 1994 graduate of Edgerton High School and was currently employed by Heidtman Steel in Butler, Indiana. He was an avid fisherman and fan of Oakland Raiders football and enjoyed playing golf, being a handyman and spending time with his friends and family. He was also a member of the Hicksville Eagles.
Gregory L. Ordway was born on July 31, 1976, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Kenneth L. and Bonnie (Buchin) Ordway.
Survivors include a daughter, Erica Leigh Ordway, of St. Joe; two sons, Matt Harris with the United States Marine Corps, stationed in San Diego, California, and Brandan Harris, of Butler; his mother, Bonnie (Crit) Ordway Akers, of Butler, Indiana; three brothers, Kenneth Stephen (Diane) Ordway, of Blakeslee, Ohio, Chad (Mary) Ordway, of Edon, Ohio, and Kerry (Jennifer) Ordway, of Edgerton, Ohio; one sister, Janelle (and fiancé, Kreg Siebenaler) Ridgway, of Edgerton; two grandchildren, Lucas Baker, of St. Joe, and Marshall Harris, of San Diego; his former wife and friend, Teresa Harris, of Butler; his former in-laws, Gene and Donna Harris, of Butler; his best friend, D.J. (Kali) Gorney, of Butler; and his goddaughter, Maizelyn Gorney. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ordway.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home,114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018, at 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Rick Stiver officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton.
