Gunfire In Defiance

The Cres­cent News reports that Defi­ance Police responded to an inci­dent involv­ing gun­fire Thurs­day evening.

Police say it was around 8:20 Thurs­day evening that offi­cers were called to the vicin­ity of South Clin­ton and Sun­day streets for a report of a gun being fired. Wit­nesses reported see­ing a man run­ning in the area at the time they heard a gun­shot.

Police offi­cers and a Defi­ance County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit were called to the scene but were unable to locate the sus­pect. The inves­ti­ga­tion is continuing.
