Harold Eugene Riegsecker, 92

Harold Eugene Riegsecker, age 92, of Delta passed away early Sunday December 4, 2016 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon.

Mr. Riegsecker was born on August 30, 1924 near Tedrow, Ohio the son of the late Harmon and the late Mary (Mast) Riegsecker. On July 27, 1947 he married the former Mary L. Van Valkenburg and she survives. He grew up near Tedrow and attended Chesterfield School. He served his country during WW II in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. He was a member of the Delta Legion Post and a member of the Staccatos Champion Drill Team which won National Championships for many years. He was a lifelong farmer and dairyman in the Delta and Pettisville areas. He enjoyed bowling, visiting with friends and shared a wonderful sense of humor with all. Harold & Mary are members of the First Christian Church in Wauseon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harmon Jr., Delta, and sisters Mabel Wyse, Archbold; and Frieda Weaver, Bryan.

He is survived by his wife Mary of Wauseon, children Corky (Glenda) Riegsecker, Delta; Tom (Mig) Riegsecker, Delta; and Carma (David) Grime, Archbold. Grandchildren Allan (Nora) Mikkelson, Toledo; A.J. (Emily) Riegsecker, Delta; Carly (Nathan) Donelson, Waltham, MA; Dawn (Rod) Rodriguez, Archbold; Mike Riegsecker, Wauseon; Jackie Grime, Columbus; Kelsey (Alex) Gentry, Glouster, OH; Brian (Alyssa) Grime, Tiffin along with 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday December 8, 2016 at the First Christian Church in Wauseon with Maryann Reimund officiating. Friends may visit with the family the family on Thursday from 9:00am until service time at the church. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the First Christian Church or the Delta American Legion. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.GrisierFH.com.
