Harold Stilson, Jr., 96

Harold Stilson, Jr., 96, of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away April 16, 2019, in his residence.  He was born September 20, 1922, in Toledo, Ohio, son of the late Harold and Gertrude (Beck) Stilson, Sr.  Harold was a graduate of Denby High School in Detroit, Michigan, and then obtained his Bachelor’s of Electrical Engineering degree from Tri-State University.  He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.  Harold married Sharon O’Brien in 2002, and she survives.  Harold was the owner-operator of Harstil Industries in Fraser, Michigan.  In his free time, Harold enjoyed spending time at Lake St. Clair, and building fiberglass boats.

Harold is survived by his wife, Sharon O’Brien of Clinton Township, Michigan; one son, Harold (Elizabeth) Stilson of Bryan, Ohio; two step-daughters, Lisa and Claudia; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Jackie Kimmen.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date, with Celebrant Patricia Peter officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.
