Metropolis, IL., Helen M. Bates, age 94, of Metropolis, IL. And formerly of Wauseon passed away September 30, 2015 at Twin Oaks Assisted Living in Metropolis, IL.
Mrs. Bates was born in Wauseon on December 2, 1920 the daughter of the late Homer and Edna (Snyder) Wagner. She married Lloyd Bates and preceded her in death this past June.
Surviving are her children; Janet (Jack) Feasby of Metropolis, IL and Roland (Linda) Bates of Alpharetta, GA, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is sister; Christine Parker of Swanton.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00am Monday October 5, 2015 at the Wauseon Union Cemetery with Pastor Don Krieger officiating. The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
