Helene Louise Plouck, 86 years, of Bryan, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in her residence with her family by her side. Helene was born September 19, 1928, in Montpelier, Ohio, the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Mary (Coschignano) Falco. She was a 1946 graduate of Montpelier High School. Helene married Richard E. “Whitey” Plouck on June 23, 1951 in Montpelier, and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1995. Helene worked at Airmate and was formerly a waitress at the Bryan Moose Lodge. She worked as a bank teller at First National Bank for 25 years until her retirement in 1989. Helene was a devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan where she was very active in the St. Francis Circle. She was a member of the Bryan Lioness Club, where she served as a past president and treasurer. Helene was also involved in the Women of the Moose. Helene enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing bridge.
Surviving is her daughter, Kristy (Tim) Wood, of Beaufort, South Carolina; five sons, Michael Plouck, of Columbus, Ohio, Stephen Plouck, of Columbus, Ohio, Rex (Tracy) Plouck, of Radnor, Ohio, Kurt (Valerie) Plouck, of Bryan, Ohio, and Max Plouck, of Bryan, Ohio; 8 Grandchildren, Alison Wood, Seth Wood, Logan Wood, Nicholas Plouck, Anthony Plouck, Madelyn Plouck, Emma Wright, and Felix Plouck; one great-grandchild; one sister, Babe (Herb) Allen, of San Francisco, California. Helene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard and nine siblings.
A Memorial Mass for Helene Louise Plouck will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 610 South Portland Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Father Jim Halleron officiating. Private interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Blakeslee.
