Hicksville will be celebrating 150 years since incorporation of the village with a variety of events and activities downtown on June 5-7. Games, music and attractions for all ages will be featured. The kickoff dinner will be held at the Rustic Handle Factory at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, with displays featuring a re-enactor of A.P. Edgerton, the founder of Hicksville. The main events on Friday, June 6, will include many free activities such as wagon rides, the sesquicentennial parade downtown at 6 p.m. followed by a recreation of The Hart’s Boys and Girls Band concert at 7 p.m. at the Huber Opera House.
