The Conexus Indiana Northeast Regional Logistics Council has revealed it’s plan for infrastructure investment over the next 30 years. Among the highway project priorities… redesigning the Toll Road interchange with I-69 in Steuben County in order to improve traffic flow. They also say the widening of U.S. 33 to four lanes and the expansion of U.S. 6 from west of Kendallville to the Ohio border are top priorities as well. The group also says they want to see Indiana 8 improved and widened from Indiana 3 to Indiana 327 to allow for better truck access between Garrett and Auburn.
The region’s council comprises of 36 northeast Indiana officials. The report follows more than two years of study, and estimates all of the projects will cost about $4 billion.
