Highway Re-Opened After Truck Crash

Ohio 65 in Putnam County is open to traffic again today, after being closed most of the day Tuesday following an ethanol tanker rolled over.

The tanker was carrying 7,800 gallons of ethanol when it crashed between Belmore and the Henry County line.

Nobody was hurt, but the Putnam County Sheriff’s office said the ethanol spill was “significant,” and resulted in the shutdown of the highway until about 10:30 last night.

Drivers today are still being advised to use caution when passing through the area.
