Hillshire Brands recalling corn dogs and sausage-on-a-stick products.

The Hillshire Brands Co., based in Haltom City, Texas, is recalling roughly 58 million pounds of corn dogs and sausage-on-a-stick products over concerns they may contain pieces of wood embedded in the batter, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. The recall affects products packaged between March 17 and Sept. 26 with the establishment number of “EST-582” or “P-894” on the packaging and were sold online, in retail and food service locations nationwide.
