Increase in domestic violence-related deaths

The Ohio Domestic Violence Network’s 10th report shows there’s been a stark increase in domestic violence-related deaths compared to last year, and it’s the highest number of deaths recorded in the past decade. Between July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, there’s been 157 deaths. In the same time period last year, there were 108 deaths reported in 85 cases among the deaths, 75 were women and 82 were male.
