Investigation Continues In Weekend Defiance Blaze

Flames heav­ily dam­aged a home in Defi­ance Sun­day after­noon.

Defi­ance Fire­fight­ers were called out just after 3pm to a house on North­wood Drive. The ini­tial report indi­cated that a man was on fire at the two-story home.

The vic­tim was taken to ProMed­ica Defi­ance Regional Hos­pi­tal, then flown to Toledo for treat­ment of burns.

Still no offi­cial con­fir­ma­tion of his iden­tity, but accord­ing to the Cres­cent News, the prop­erty is owned by Gre­gory and Jen­nifer Dob­son.

There was heavy smoke and water dam­age, along with struc­tural dam­age esti­mated at around $200,000.
