It Begins

AquaBounty Technologies broke ground Wednesday on what is promised to be a state-of-the-art aquaculture facility in Pioneer…located at the east end of Kexon Drive in the Pioneer North Industrial Park. Initially it was announced that Gov., DeWine would attend, but he and wife Fran were both diagnosed with COVID earlier this week. Expected to cost between $290 million and $320 million dollars, the facility will be 479,000 square feet and capable of producing 10,000 metric tons of genetically modified salmon a year.
