James C. McMillen, age 62, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away, Monday, December 18, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a US Navy veteran. He was a hippie at heart and enjoyed playing PS4, working on tech devices, listening to rock-n-roll, watching movies, collecting gnomes and spending time with friends and family.
James C. McMillen was born on December 24, 1960, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of James D. and Nancy E. (Stockman) McMillen. He was a 1978 graduate of Defiance High School.
James is survived by his children, Serenity (Johnny) Gonzales, of Holgate, Andrew Cliffton, of Defiance, Christian Cliffton, of Fort Wayne, Josiah (Lauren) Cliffton, of Fort Wayne, Hannah McMillen, of Florida, Emily McMillen, of Indianapolis, Indiana and Katie and Thad McMillen; 11 grandchildren and a brother, Jay McMillen. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shelley McMillen.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street has been entrusted with his arrangements.
