Jameson Andrew Kamp, age 21, of Wauseon, passed away unexpectedly in Bowling Green, Ohio, on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
Jameson was born in Toledo on October 18, 1995, the son of Kenton and Laura (VanderMolen) Kamp. He was a 2014 graduate of Wauseon High School, where he enjoyed playing trombone in marching and concert band, participating in speech and quiz team. He loved discussing movies and pop culture, and found particular joy in the intellectual pursuits of science, nature, and prehistoric life. He had attended Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon.
Surviving are his parents, Dr. Kenton and Laura Kamp of Wauseon; sister, Kendra Kamp of Grand Rapids, Michigan; twin brother, Derrick Kamp of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandparents, Len and Eldean Kamp of Abbotsford, British Columbia; and grandmother, Titia VanderMolen of Ypsilanti, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jake VanderMolen.
Visitation for Jameson will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Crossroads Evangelical Church. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, also at the church, with Pastor Nate Hamblin and Pastor Kevin Clark, officiating. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the National Park Foundation. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with services.
