He transferred to Bowling Green State University where he spent 3 years before moving back home to finish his degree at Defiance College.

After college, he moved to Florida and eventually became a General Manager for Blue-Green Time Shares in Palm Beach county. In Florida Jamie made many new friends, but never forgot his old ones or where he was from. Jamie was a fanatic follower of all his Cleveland teams, the Indians, Browns and Cavaliers and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Growing up he watched a lot of hockey games with his parents since they always had season tickets to the Fort Wayne Komets. Always being a hockey fan, when he got to Florida he adopted the Florida Panthers, as his own.

Along with following sports, he loved spending time with his fiancé, Aimee and her daughter, Delilah, their many neighbor friends and going to country concerts.

Jamie Aaron Stewart was born September 5, 1969 in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Don and Herminia (Garza) Stewart. In addition to his parents, Jamie is survived by his fiancé, Aimee Gaudet and her daughter, Delilah, both of Lake Worth, Florida; brothers, Jerome (Jenny) Stewart, of Cincinnati and Jonathon Stewart, of Bryan; sister, Justine (Matt) Bruns, of Delaware, Ohio; grandmother, Helen Stewart, of West Unity; grandfather, Ignacio Garza, of Bryan and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jamie was a difference maker in so many people’s lives. He loved his family very much and always wanted to things for others. He made us so proud to have him as our son and best of all he knew Jesus Christ as his Savior. We know we can’t ask why. We have to say “Let it be, let the Lord’s will be done.” We also know of the promise that we will see Jamie again, and we believe in promises.

Memorials in the name of Jamie A. Stewart may be given to the St. Patrick Catholic School.
