Jeanette A. Miller, 97, of Montpelier passed away Monday morning at Hillside Country Living in rural Bryan. She was born on August 9, 1919 in Grand Ledge, Michigan to Archie and Mertie (Allen) Schavey. Jeanette graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 1937. She earned her RN degree from St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing, Michigan.
Jeanette was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Montpelier, and a former member of the Montpelier Civic League. Jeanette worked as an RN after graduation until moving to Montpelier. She then worked alongside her husband Bill at the Leader Enterprise for 20 years, before returning to nursing at the Bryan Medical Group where she worked for Dr. Carrico and where she retired.
Jeanette is survived by her children Bob (Fran) Bryce of Whitehouse, Alan (Judy) Miller of Seattle, Washington, and Ann (Jim) Roseen of California; three grandchildren Bobbi (Brad) Miller, Christa (Mark) Pawlaczyk, and Teresa (John) Ernsthausen and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Bill Bryce, second husband Keith Miller, daughter Mary Kay Bryce, son Jeff Miller, and sister Leone Turner.
A time to receive friends will be on Thursday, November 3rd from 10-11am at the First Presbyterian Church in Montpelier. A memorial service will follow at 11am at the church with Reverend David Tilly. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Memorial Contributions may be given to the First Presbyterian Church.
