Jeff excelled at all sports during high school and was a loyal fan, supporting Notre Dame especially while also backing all the local teams including the Pacers and Colts. Jeff was incredibly competitive and took competing seriously in sports, golf, board games and cards. He loved trash talking, which is a genetic trait of being a “Myers.”
Jeff never married but he loved kids and had a tender heart. He especially loved being an “Uncle” to Tres, the three-legged nephew rescue wonder dog. Tres can spend hours getting “rubs” from his Uncle Jeff.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Linda Sue (Myers) Clifford-Bales and his Stepfather, Richard A Bales – Fremont, IN, Brother Kevin D Myers (Darla) of Hamilton, IN, Stepbrother Jade Clifford (Mary) of Indianapolis, IN. Stepbrother Derron C Bales (Tracey) of Noblesville, IN, Stepsister Cassandra L Bales of Indianapolis, IN, Nieces Megan Guzman (Salomon) of Monterrey Mexico and Chloe Phend (Dakotah) Angola, IN, Cousin Steven Sauers (Karrie) Greensboro, NC, Grandmother, Shirley Bales, Noblesville, IN. Jeff was blessed to be surrounded by aunts, uncles and cousins who loved and appreciated him greatly.
Jeff was proceeded in death by his Father, Nick Myers (Anne) of Arizona and Grandmother Betty Sauers Indianapolis, IN.
Jeff loved his mom’s cooking and living next door to his parents, he was a blessing in our lives for the last 2 years. Jeff was good about stopping to visit his mom almost daily. Jeff struggled with loneliness and depression but since moving back north from Indianapolis he was becoming more of the happy man he was growing up in Hamilton. The last 2 years were some of his happiest and we thank all the “Myers” family who kept reaching out to, so he knew he was loved by so many!
Jeff’s passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family, but Jeff believed in Jesus as his savior, and we take solace knowing Jeff is with the Lord now. Jeff donated his eyes to Lions Eye Bank.
