Jennifer A. Crooks, age 43, of Wauseon passed away Saturday July 5, 2014 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon following an extended illness. Prior to her illness she had worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for the Fulton County Health Center.
Mrs. Crooks was born in Greenville, Ohio on January 12, 1971 the daughter of Paul and Cinda (Winterrowd) Meyer. On October 24, 1998 she married Brian Crooks and he survives. She enjoyed crafting, attending softball games, dance recitals and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling. She was a 1989 graduate of Wauseon High School. She played volleyball, basketball and softball. Her Senior year she was selected First Team All-Ohio as a Pitcher. She was recently inducted into the Wauseon High School Athletic Hall of Fame. She was an avid University of Michigan Wolverine and Detroit Tigers fan.
Surviving besides her husband Brian is daughter Chloe, parents; Paul and Cinda Meyer of Wauseon, brother; Randy (Natalie) Meyer of Wauseon, nieces; Courtney, Alexis, Hayley Meyer, Kyiah Harris and nephew Noah Harris. Preceding her in death was son Ethan Crooks in 2005, Grandparents Lloyd and Eldine Winterrowd of Greenville and Pauline and Edward Meyer of Willowdell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday July 10, 2014 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with Pastor Wes Glines officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm.
