Joan Klopfenstein, 77

Joan Marie (Neuenschwander) Klopfenstein, age 77, passed away Wednesday March 25, 2015 at Genesis Nursing Care of Bryan. Prior to her retirement she had been a Piano Instructor for many years.

Mrs. Neuenschwander was born on February 20, 1938 in Wauseon the daughter of the late Franklin “Hap” and the late Nola (McLaughlin) Neuenschwander. She had volunteered at the former Medical College of Ohio and many area nursing homes playing the piano for patients and residents.

Surviving are sons; Tom (Rose) Klopfenstein of Wauseon, Rodney (Linda) Klopfenstein of Pettisville, grandchildren; Mandy (Bryan) Croninger, Aaron (Sarah) Klopfenstein both of Delta, Jordan (Jensen) Klopfenstein of Fort Wayne, Joshua, Audra and Amber Klopfenstein all of Pettisville and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is step-sister; Sue Colon of Wauseon. Preceding her in death besides her parents was her Step-father; Dallas Spring and brothers: Les Neuenschwander, Russell Neuenschwander,   Step-Brother Russell Spring.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Sunday March 29, 2015 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with Pastor Don Krieger officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.GrisierFH.com. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Gideons International or the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon.
