Joan McKee Whitmire Andrews, age 90, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, in Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home, Archbold, Ohio where she has resided since February 2010. Joan was born in Delta, Ohio on May 18, 1926 to parents Dr. Earl Lawrence McKee and Dorothy Emola (Kent) McKee.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her only brother, Kent Earl McKee, and two ex-husbands, Dr. Les Whitmire and Arnold Andrews.
Surviving her are 6 children, Terry Whitmire (Judy), of Henrico, Virginia; Judy Patterson (Lee), of Blue Creek, Ohio; Lynda Ellinwood (Bruce), Lewiston, Michigan; Ed Andrews, of Wauseon, Ohio; Brenda Requena, of Wauseon, Ohio; Tony Andrews, of Wauseon, Ohio. Joan is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
Public Graveside service and interment 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Greenlawn Cemetery. Delta, Ohio. Rev. Charles Gautsche officiating. There will be no visitation or calling hours observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home or Southern Care Hospice, West Central Avenue, Toledo, Ohio or the charity of donor’s choice.
