Judy L. Souhan, age 75, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away at 11:55 P.M. on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after an extended illness. Mrs. Souhan was a graduate of Northview High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and throughout the years was employed by the Enrichment Center and Quadco Rehabilitation. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton and enjoyed traveling, watching the colors of the changing seasons, and lunching and shopping with friends.
Judy L. Souhan was born on December 17, 1947, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Everett and Elayne (Anderson) Paalman. She married George J. Souhan on April 29, 1967, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1995.
Survivors include three sons, Patrick G. (Cindy Roderer) Souhan, of Beavercreek, Ohio, Daniel J. (Sophia) Souhan, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Brian E. (Mandy Black) Souhan, of Bethesda, Maryland; three grandchildren; two brothers, Jim (Barb) Paalman, of Elkhart, Indiana, and Rick (Carol) Paalman, of Caledonia, Michigan; and her longtime companion, Wesley “Butch” Traxler, of Edgerton. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton.
