Julia Joan Painter, age 89, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 3:20 P.M. on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan, where she was a resident. Joan was a former member of the Union Chapel Church of God and recently attended the First Baptist Church in Bryan. She was a machine operator at Allied Products for 19 years and a custodian at the Ohio Art Company for over 10 years.
Born July 19, 1928 in Corning, Ohio, she was the daughter of James Thomas and Rosa Marie (Cairo) Duff. Survivors include her son, Harold “Butch” (Cindy) Raub, of Cecil; daughter, Evelyn (Harold) Hager, of Lakeland, Florida; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother, William (Joyce) Duff, of Zanesville; a sister, Garnet Horton, of Cambridge, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tom Raub; brother, Frank T. Duff; sisters, Ann “Tootie” Smith and Rosa “Sissy” Curry and niece, Cheryl Hughett.
Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, on Sunday, October 29, 2017, from 2:00-5:00 P.M. and Monday October 30, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.
