K-9 Hammer Passes

The Williams County Sheriff’s Depart­ment says K-9 Offi­cer Ham­mer passed away after a short bat­tle with can­cer on Tues­day. Ham­mer was 12 years old. K-9 Ham­mer was a Dutch Shep­herd. He started his career with the Sheriff’s Office in August of 2004 and was trained in patrol, nar­cotics detec­tion and track­ing. A memo­r­ial ser­vice for K-9 Ham­mer will be held next Thurs­day, one week from today, [8/27] at the Williams County Cour­t­house pavil­ion start­ing at 4:30pm.
