Katherine Williamson, 30

Katherine J. Williamson, 90 years, of Bryan, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center, where she had been a resident.  Katherine was born July 10, 1923 in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Leonard and Annie (Clark) Hazelett.  She was a graduate of Guyan Valley High School in West Virginia.  Katherine married Averill J. Williamson on November 22, 1943 in Branchland, West Virginia, and he preceded her in death on August 18, 1975.  She was employed by Bryan Custom Plastics for over 30 years, retiring in 1992.  Katherine was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233 and the Bryan Moose Lodge 1064. She assisted with the H.E.L.P. program at Wesley United Methodist Church.

Surviving are four children, Chris (Nancy) Williamson of Howell, Michigan, Dwight (Pam) Williamson of Edon, Ohio, Sherry McCarty of Montpelier and Treva (John) Dilonardo of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard Hazelett; two sisters, Liddie Mae Watson and Betty Lewrena Waterbury; infant brother, Peter James Hazelett and a set of infant twin siblings.

Visitation for Katherine J. Williamson will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating.  Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.
