Kathy L. Harbin, 61 years, of Bryan, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 with her family at her side. Kathy was born April 26, 1956, in Bryan, the daughter of the late Frederick M. and Linda L. (Hoffman) Walker. Kathy was a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family. She had attended Grace Community Church. Kathy enjoyed being outside, gardening, mowing the lawn, fishing or bird watching. She also enjoyed spending time with her pets and cooking. She truly treasured the time she could spend with her family.
Surviving are her two children, Mindy (Todd) Meckley Sr., of New Castle, Pennsylvania and Anthony Booher of Bryan; six grandchildren, Gage, Makayla, Ethan, Todd Jr., Alexis and Devan; two great-grandchildren; her companion, Dwight Cain of Camden, Michigan; three sisters, Vickie (Dave) Birkhold of Montpelier, Deb (Mark) Oliphant of Bryan and Bobbie (Monte) Howell of Montpelier; one brother, Todd (Tina) Walker of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Scott Walker.
Visitation for Kathy L. Harbin will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home-Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, where funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Sam Byroads officiating. Interment will follow in Yackee Cemetery, Bryan.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations be given to the Defiance County Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society.
