Kathy Rhoades, 65

Kathy Jean Rhoades, 65 years, of Bryan, passed away Thursday May 14, 2015, at the Laurels of Defiance. Kathy was born August 4, 1949, to the late Ralph Emerson and Betty Jean (King) Bishop. She was a 1967 graduate of Hilltop High School and continued her education at Jackson Business University where she obtained her associates degree. Kathy was an employee at Titan Tire for 46 years until her retirement in 2014. She was a member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church. She was also involved in her cancer support group. Kathy enjoyed her grandchildren and doing crafts. She found enjoyment in fishing, gardening, and watching birds.

Surviving are her two children, Shelby (Ryan) Burger, of Defiance, Ohio, Dustin Rhoades, of Bryan, Ohio; three very special grandchildren, Mikaylah Rhoades, Amelia Burger, Braxton Burger; one sister, Cindy (Mike) Thompson, of Carey, Ohio; one brother, Bill (Kristina) Bishop of Montpelier, Ohio. Kathy was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Visitation for Kathy Rhoades will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Pioneer United Methodist Church, 708 East Baubice Street, Pioneer, Ohio 43554. Visitation will be held an hour prior to funeral services on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at the church beginning at 12:00 pm.
