Kenneth W. Drittler, age 75, of Archbold, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice. Prior to his retirement he had been a long haul trucker for the former Tem-Cole in McClure for 22 years and then Gerken Paving in Napoleon for eight years.
Kenneth was born on June 9, 1938, the son of Walter and Esther (Harms) Drittler. On July 3, 1970 he married Sandra Kauzlick, and she survives. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners.
Surviving, besides his wife, Sandra, are three step-sons, Mike (Marilyn) Kauzlick of Ft. Wayne, IN, Tim (Amy) Kauzlick of Houston, TX, Rick (Joy) Kauzlick of Archbold; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Ryan, Kiel, Heather, Kacie, Dustin, and Adalynn, five great-grandchildren, Devon, Makayla, Joshua, Peyton, and Madison, and one sister, Elaine Teitje of McClure. He was preceded in death by one brother, Vic Drittler.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners. Interment will be in the Archbold Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice.
