Kenny R. “Tex” Crisenbery, 68 years, of Fayette, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance, with his family at his side. Kenny was born August 12, 1947 in Lima, Ohio, the son of the late Kenneth R. and Margaret F. (Bailey) Crisenbery. Tex was a 1966 graduate of Hilltop High School. After graduation, Tex served our country during the Vietnam Era in the United States Army. He married Carol L. Konoff on February 1, 1969 in Genoa, Ohio. Tex was employed by Chase Brass for nearly 50 years, most recently in the Parts Control Department. He attended the West Franklin United Methodist Church. Kenny enjoyed to go into the wild and photograph wildlife in their natural habitat, taking leisurely bicycle rides and hiking. You might say he enjoyed the outdoors.
Surviving is his wife, Carol of Fayette; two children, Chelsea (Jarrett) Funk of West Unity and Derrick (Lyndsey) Crisenbery of Hays, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Chelsea Renee, Kristoffer, Trenton, Ryan, Madisyn, Levi, Dylan, Layla, and Dawsyn; one brother, Curtis (Judy) Crisenbery of Alvordton and one sister, Gloria Streeter also of Alvordton. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Crisenbery.
Visitation for Kenny R. “Tex” Crisenbery will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity. Funeral services for Tex will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 at West Franklin United Methodist Church, 10381 County Road 27-1, West Unity, Ohio. Visitation for Tex will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
