Kermit O. Sheline age 85, of Edon, Ohio, died at 12:24 A.M. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he was a patient. Mr. Sheline was a veteran of the United States Marines, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a painter by Thiel Construction for seventeen years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Bryan American Legion Post #284 and had been a member of the Williams County Coon Hunters and Williams County Anglers.
Kermit O. Sheline was born on December 4, 1930 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the son of Claude and Oma (Wamsley) Sheline. He married Nancy L. Randolph in 1953 at Point Pleasant, West Virginia and she preceded him in death on July 8, 2007.
Survivors include two sons, Kermit Ray Sheline, of Hamilton, Indiana and Anthony W. (Terri) Sheline, of Edon; two daughters, Colleen (Michael Penrod) Sheline, of Archbold, Ohio and Patricia Sheline, of Edon; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Reba Lovejoy, Irene Hesson and Brenda McCausland, of Point Pleasant, West Virgina. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Kenton Sheline and two infant sisters.
In keeping with Kermit’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Interment will be private.
Memorials in the name of Kermit O. Sheline may be given to a charity of the donors choice.
